“The Master Chef was having an off-day today, stealing only 1 RR all game, in the first half (that's right, none in the second!)
With Nurgle receiving, and despite a Blitz down their right flank, they advanced quickly down the left, but left the ball-carrying Pestigor exposed - many attempts to take him down were made, eventually being Wrestled to the ground on the touchline, and spilling the ball into the crowd. It was launched deep into the halfling backfield. The little guys scurried back to regain the ball, and attempted to run it home, but lost the ball to a blitz, and an attempted pass to make the TD was a forlorn hope. Halftime 0-0
The second half saw a depleted Nurgle team (the Beast had been KO'd by a Treeman, and did not recover for most of the rest of the game), but they made good pressure, eventually pinning Nobby Butterby and the ball to the touchline. However, with arboreal support at hand, Nobby dodged free and sprinted into open pastures in the Nurgle backfield, scoring and leaving the Nurgle side only 2 turns to equalise. They failed to do so, having squandered their rerolls on optimistic dodges to stop the touchdown.”
