“Finally able to get on the pitch this preseason the Soilers looked to be in mid-season form in a 3-1 victory of the Geldings. Dancer War'In Moon was a terror between the endzones showing no fear in pounding on the larger, and far uglier Warriors and Beasts of the Geldings. Scare'Ray Chilledless had an excellent all-round game scoring the 1st touchdown of the match as well as sending an opposing beastman to the sidelines. However the real star of the game was Tear'ee Killyard as the lanky lineman scored two 2nd half touchdowns to seal the victory for the Soilers.

In the post-match press conference coach FreeRange added "the boys showed a lot of teamwork out there today. We've been working on ball movement in practice and it showed out there on the pitch. We need to get tighter though and find out who the leaders on this team are.. but that is what preseason is for. I for one was just glad to be back out playing BloodBowl." The Soilers were forced to forfeit their first scheduled match due to longtime Soilers owner , and notorious miser, Bud Fraudams neglecting to provide transportation for his squad, commenting "Eh, I figggurd th' lazy bums could walk... extra conditioning don'tcha know..." In true Soiler fashion Fraudams awarded Kris Dashman the MVP bonus saying, "I know he only played 3 series... but the elf looked good doin it... 'sides it's my team, I can do what evah' I want." We shall see how long Dashman can stick on the roster with his back injury, it will keep him out of the next game and looks to be one that will continue to plague him.

In more sober news the Soilers say goodbye to Rych'Charred Poundson who met an untimely end at the hands of an enraged Chaos Warrior. The Soilers will miss the scrappy lefty but will carry on with a journeyman until his spot can be filled adequately. ”
