“What a game!

Those lizards know defense! They won the toss and choose to kick off to us!!! That’s one of our tricks… And then they took the ball away and scored to lead 1 – zip!

They kicked to us again and this time they blitzed! They really play Buddy ball!!! (Buddy Ryan former coach of the Philadelphia Eagles blitzed all the time and his defense would outscore his offense in quite a few games.) The lizards recovered the on-side kick… but that was the last thing to right right for Dinotopia in the first half. After quite a bit of tension, Andre “dirty” Waters solo blitzed a saurus knocking the lizard flat and running in for the game tying TD before halftime!!!

The second half started with a short kick with a lot of spin by Roger Ruzek (our kicker) that three of the poor lil' skinks just couldn’t handle. Randle Cunningham ran in and grabbed the ball, and handed it off to Mike Quick who ran for a quick TD. Buddies Blitzing Eagles 2 to 1 over Dinotopia lizards.

Must have been Philly fans in the stands from the icebowl game where the fans pelted the field with frozen snow balls and the players needed to seek cover – cuz these fans rioted for 5 big turns. Unfortunately for the luckless lizards there wasn’t time to score the equalizer and the game ended…

It was a great game! Lots of fun coaching and tension! I think we had at least one spectator :)
