“SOUPA week 3 featured a match between House of Payne and the Botcher's Brigade. The House of Payne brought their own rocks to the party, and at the snap Curly got a stone between the eyes. The House smacked their way through the Botcher's line, and Shard weaved through the scrum to hit Lare Do'ath with a perfect pass! Score: 1-0 for the HOP! The Botcher's took the kick and what should have been a routine hand off to Closeau got ruined when he was bent over checking the turf for shoe prints. The ball bounced off of his back and into the hands of a pleasantly surprised Tick! "It's time to score one for justice!" He bellowed, and rumbled down the field like an oaf possessed, scoring to tie it up as the half ended.
The second half saw a drive get stalled at midfield, as Closeau got knocked off of the ball. In the messy scrum that followed, Butterfingers launched a pass to Elmer Fudd who caught the ball close to the goal line. Some heroic effort by the House knocked the ball loose and another scrum a few yards from the goal broke out. Somehow Moe was able to poke somebody in the eye and the ball landed in his hands as he stumbled into the endzone to make it 2-1 for the Botcher's Brigade. Alas, the House tried to even the score with a last minute Hail Mary Pass that slipped through a blitzer's fingers, leaving the score at 2-1. It was definitely an entertaining match, with neither coach really getting a lot of help from the dice. Full marks to my opponent, I look forward to the potential rematch down the road! ”
