“Hack Enslash made his triumphant return to the team after sitting out the Halfling Bloodfest. His first action was to knock himself out after his chainsaw kicked back on the first turn. After a failed pick up the pressure was on the Numb Skullz. With everyone marked up and a Hobgoblin shielding the ball, Robbz got in touch with his inner elf and dodged free, blitzed the ball clear, snatched it up and made a run for it! But with no mates around for support, he was quickly dispossessed and after a midfield melee, the Hobgoblin, Sharptooth, made a break for it to put the Critters up one-nil to the good.
With the clock ticking down, Robbz tried to shoot the gap after some impressive (flukey) one dice blocking, but tripped over, and watched the half end from the turf.
The second half started with a sweet kick into the corner by the LOS and a perfect defence to put the pressure back on to the Critters. They got players over in numbers to secure the ball, but the Skullz' second inducement of the match proved slightly better than the first and the wizard smote three players, smashing the ball carries ankle, with a fire ball. Billz stole in to scoop up the ball and retreated back behind his mates. And to top of the prefect turn Chapz KOed a Chaos Dwarf on a 1d block. With the Critters having faded left to cover the kick, the Skullz switched play to the other flank. Over the course of a couple of turns and after a 1d blitz on Billz skulled out, the Skullz managed to break into the critters backfield in numbers and with only one Hob left on the pitch and the bulls tied up in TZs, were able to hold off the Critters until turn 7 before equalising.
Having dodged a Riot and with the one turn failed on the first block, the Skullz held out for the draw and maintained their unbeaten record!”
