After escaping the fey woods with a draw, the Oblivion Knights welcomed the bruising Orcs of the Miami Valley to their desert stadium. Orc fans flocked in unprecedented numbers to witness the carnage, and organizers offered the Miami Valley some ale, served by the local Bloodweiser Babes, to sate the rowdy players. Miami Valley declined, needing only the promise of blood to whet their appetites!

Receiving the kick-off, the Orc squad chose to bunch their Black Orcs in the center of the line and cage deep in their end of the half. This allowed the speedy Beastmen of the Oblivion Knights to surge in and cut-off Miami Valley’s advance, boxing them in with a 2-column defense. Unfettered, Mulcana (Minotaur) waded into the center of the Black Orc frontline, breaking Woodley’s neck with a savage claw to the throat and later gouging the eye of Cooley (Black Orc). The Orc apothecary was called in to try and patch Woodley’s bleeding neck with chewing gum, almost killing the Black Orc in the process.

Meanwhile, Miami Valley pushed back, clearing room for their caged ball-carrier and, in an aggressive move, the Orcs dug their cage right into the frontline of the Oblivion Knights. The resulting scrum resulted in a loose ball, which Kelmaul (Beastman) eventually snatched away and stretched into a defensive touchdown.

The second half opened with an errant kick and the Oblivion Knights decided to give the ball to one of their unskilled Chaos Warrior, hoping to bruise their way into the endzone. The two teams met in the middle, smashing fists and heads with wild abandon. As the fists flew, the Knights tried to seal the edge and wrap their Chaos Warrior ball-carrier around the sideline.

However, a daring move saw a Miami Valley blitzer dodge away from pursuers and effortlessly knock the ball away. The two teams collided again, as the ball changed hands several times. The crowd even got into the action, as a Chaos Warrior shoved his Black Orc counterpart out of the stadium and into the waiting boots of the audience. Finally, the Knights managed to seal off the last Orc players and sent in Madfang (Beastman) for the final score of the game and a 2-0 victory.

After the match, the Oblivion Knights hired their fourth Chaos Warrior (Kel) to join the roster. He’ll see his first action against the currently undefeated Dark Elf team, Made To Do It, week 4.
