Itza Insequents chose to kick and Profano drove down the right. A couple of early KOs on the scrimmage line saw the elves outnumbered but a simple pass-and-rush down the flank took Lupus over the line, after some scrabbling for the ball deep in Itza's half. A lucky block also saw off Garconquawaq permanently. Lupus was ready to get his hands dirty.

The counter-attack from the lizardmen was a strong one, forcing the elves to roll back, and there was little the pointy ears could do against the onslaught. Tenqteinq carried over the ball to equalise just before half time.

Back to 11 for the second half Profano pushed on, trying to find chinks in Itza's scales. Find them they did, with a couple of knock-outs and enough of a space to allow strikes on the ball. Denbigh stole possession and raced away to take the elves into the lead once more. A strong final counter from Itza Insequents was not enough to break the elves' line.
