Zara the Slayer, who had joint us for this fight, proclaimed: "Don't be scared, brave bearded men, those guys die like anyone else - and easier that undead scum! Just kick them in the nuts!" She didn't seem to be worried a bit, instead filled with a thrill of anticipation, just as Nomril, our troll slayer. Barik looked a little bit uncomfortable, but it was mostly due him not having his blunderbuss at hands.
As we stood versus them, we couldn't help but feel like going into battle, unsure if any of us would come out of this unharmed. And we should be proven right: It was the day when Namosz finally left us forever.
The tension was broken by Head Coach Rabe who screamed from the sideline, in his high gnomish voice: "Agility Monsters! Line up and deliver!" Zeruin, our newest member shouted: "The bash, the ball, we do it all!" And we all responded, raising our fists: "Go, Monsters, go!"

1st half: We were kicking in the first half and suffered some casualties like we had expected. What we hadn't foreseen was their severity and the incapability of our two (!) apothecaries to change anything. Namosz and Ramnah were both carried off the field on stretchers, Namosz should never get up again. We fought, but the Crushers rolled over us like an avalanche. We even managed to get close to the ball carrier twice, but they shrug us off with their unnatural strength. 0-1 it was.
We had a last chance to attack in half one after chaos had scored, but it was a long shot: With only Zara and Rhoda remaining as more agile players, we had few chances to move the ball across the field quickly. Grimbald, our kack-handed genius, gave his best, but the ball slipped through his fingers and into the crowd before he was even close to performing the required long bomb (a helpful dwarf in the audience tried to complete the pass but wasn't able to throw it all the way down the field).
We had been able to take out a beastmen or two in the first half (one was caught by the ref as he tried to beat one of our players further into the dirt, all intimidation attempts by the chaos fans didn't impress him), but the Crushers had a deep bench and after Barik had been sent off by the ref, it was nine vs. eleven for the second half.

2nd half: We approached carefully, successfully decimating the relatively weak and unimportant LOS guys. The chaos brood put heavy pressure on us as expected, but for a while we were able to hold them at a distance (with Zara successfully stabbing the mino in his back - he had to be dragged of the pitch!), waiting for an opportunity to rush through a hole in their defense line. But just as it seemed our time has come and everyone prepared for the required sprint, Rhoda got tackled as she tried to dodge away from their opponents - and the ball bounced right into their hands!
We hold our ground for another turn and tried to fight them off when our Head Coach finally gave a secret signal and a huge fireball dropped right into the bulk. However, the hired wizard apprentice was either incompetent or bribed: The only one who was brought down was Dorfort, one of our own man!
Undermanned and sabotaged by our temporary support crew, we couldn't hold back our opponents anymore, still doing our best to prevent the loss. Right before they scored for the 2-0 victory, a beastman sneaked up behind the distracted, unlucky Dorfort (he had actually just started to examine the crater the suspiciously ineffective fireball had left) and hit him heavily over the head - an infernal final act of violence, a last attempt to break a spirit that can't be broken!”
