#10 Roger Knoxx – Dead (RIP)
Mission accomplished. Unspectacular but comfortable win against a race designed to make woodies look good. The coaches even had time to complete Roger Knoxx's transfer to Cold Hands, Dead Eye, addressing possible squad bloating concerns in the Cosmonauts' ranks ahead of the all-woodelf (and treemen) clash against Trumps of Amber.

Good luck rest of season Clarkin.

#8 Troglodyte – Smashed Hip (-MA)
WIL Premiership XXII

Game 2 sees up against somertown's woodies, who beat us soundly the only other time we were in the prem. We pick up Setekh with our inducements rather than a wiz seeing as they have no sure hands vs his break tackle / strip ball goodness.

On the other hand they have a STR4 strip ball tackle wardancer that is going to make my life hell!

They kick first in the rain and on T1 the super dancer strips the ball right out of our loose cage. We try and recover but fumble a 3+ pickup and they can easily make space and steal it for a T2 defensive touchdown!

T3 and again the superdancer is unleashed, this time getting a POW with a reroll, though we recover well. T4 and yet again he gets a POW on the ballcarrier. We really need to remove him at all costs here!! T5 and he does it again... argh! This time a lineelf has caught it and they quickly surround him... doesn't look good here!

Setekh puts in a great blitz (needing a 4+ dodge early on to keep his break tackle for later) and pows the ball free... but another elf catches it.. they then -MA injure our block/tackle ghoul and run the ball towards a corner. We do manage a consolation KILL on a random line elf at some point here, but it's really not going to make any difference today.

They stall out the last turn in total safety, while we manage a BH foul on another line elf (need to hit the wardancers and catchers here, not this fodder!!) and the half ends 2-0 to the woodies with us kicking at half time.

They can only field 9 but i'm down to a single tackler on the field.. not sure the bookies are taking bets on a woodie win anymore! And in fact by T2 it's 3-0 for the woodies!

We collect the kick (again!), KO a lineman and then get our DP sent off trying to take out a 2nd one. We then push forwards slowly - our only intent to get a skillup TD on one of our rookie ghouls. T5 and we have him with the ball in an unassailable mass near their endzone, so the elves retreat and we make it 3-1.

With two turns left they decide to minimise our blocks and retreat with the ball til the half ends, leaving us with little to do but put in some ineffective fouls on their treeman stuck at the LOS.

Well won somertown!
