With the Ceremonial incense still burning and the Falcons still organizing their defensive line, The Brethren Pushed their Gutter Runners foward and Nirkz the Grey's pass was able to find the paws of Zulbag one Ear in the endzone.
The last time these teams clashed an early Skaven score was countered by 15 turns of Dwarven ball controll, and the locker room had spoken about the need to keep the pressure on and prevent the Bedouin from forming a pantented Clage, their famous offensive set-up.
9 Rats sacrificed their bodys with hard blocking, brave dodging and strong interference lines, and were able to preserve their narrow lead at the half time break. However with only 9 fit players to start the second half, the numbers game quickly proved telling for the Followers of Allah, as they equalised early.
The Brethren offensive drive started with several players filling unfamiliar roles, as the coach was forced to send on every Ratholic who could stand. Still with a little help from the fans they were able to get the ball within 7 yards of the goal line, which all followers know is the Danger Zone. Alas without playmakers Hassz the Smell, Lurz the Hook or Irksiz the Brown the Skaven were unable to capitalise.
In a surprising attempt to play the ball, Walid bin Khaldoun Tayer scooped it up, fed it to Faoud bin Basir al Maktoum, who lobbed it to Ali bin Mohammed al Suwaidi. It what was obviously a miricle, and evidence of the Horned Rats existance, Suwaidi's bootlace got caught in a Broken piece of skaven armour on the field, and he was unable to cross the goal line, leaving the score at 1-1.
This draw severly dents the Brethrens chances of taking home the silverware this season, and it was dissapointing to the council to see that some fair weather worshippers chose not to attend the midsqueek mass.
TWAHNLOWS:
3pts - Farooq bin Aziz al Maktoum. In the end the numbers game worked against us, and he was a big contributing fator to this.
2pts - Mohammed Abdul. Had a knack of Ko'ing the playmakers when they were needed on field.
1pt - Hazem bin Khalifa al Nayan. Adds a dodge/pass threat to the Falcons, which makes them so much harder to defend against. Twice in the first half his extra agility put holes in carefully laid plans. ”
