“This was a fun game. We made some mistakes but could have got away with it if not for a shock pickup by a Saurus.
At the start we recklessly setup to one side and the Lizards did an outstanding kick (after a riot) to the opposite back corner. A Bullcentaur went back to pickup and failed and the lizards came forward. Next turn a hobgobbo picked up but we were not in an ideal position. The Lizards swarmed us and we ended up fighting it out near out touchline the whole half. At one point it seemed we could escape up a flank but the crucial handoff failed. It was a poor half for us but a Saurus sent off and some skinks taken out late on gave us some hope as we started the second half 4 players up. The lizards caged round their one Skink and slowly advanced as we through ourselves at them. Turn 6 we had our chance as some of them moved to the flank and Lord Thunderbone (BC) had chance to blitz and kill the skink! But the BC also fell. I thought we might be able to recover the ball with some luck but remarkably a saurus picked up and escaped to freedom when he blitzed through next turn! In our turn 7 receive the ag of the centaur again let us down when he failed a handoff. So the lizards win through.”
