“Winning the coin toss, Surreal Orc sees the pouring rain, decides to let the Very Rich Rats take the first stab at it, and elect to kick off themselves. This is all very fine and well, as we receive, and shortly afterward score with a minimum of damage taken in 2 or 3 turns. On their own drive, the ball is kicked deep, and the gutter runners swarm up, managing to tie up the ball carrier while Helu gets it loose (thank you strip ball!). After a pretty messy scrum, including Charles Koch killing himself on a dodge (no apo used, never liked that guy anyway), the half ends with the score 1-0 in favour of the rats.

The second half begins with a kickoff to Surreal Orc, who proceed to grab the ball and plow down the field, reducing many of the rats to smears on the ground in the process. Eventually I cut my losses, and the rats run, allowing Surreal Orc to score in the last turn for a 1-1 tie to send us into overtime. With only 6 players on the field, I try the one-turn with my single gutter runner, but don't get further than the first block.

In overtime rats are lucky enough to win the cointoss and receive, as well as having the last two gutter runners available on the field (Carlos had been MNG'd by this point and Dell was BH'd too). However, with only 2 rerolls, both were burnt up rather quickly as we tried to get the deep ball (failed pickup in the rain with a reroll 3+), and things weren't looking good. Then, in a desperation move, Karl gripped the ball and plowed through the orcs, dodging to get as far away from the LOS scrum as possible. One of the orc tacklers (the only one in range) charged at him, but even with a reroll, the 4 dice just refused to show that pow. With no rerolls left, Albrecht leaped from the tackler's grip, and scored the winning touchdown. A pyrrhic victory though; reduced from 1730k to 1190k for the next game, and missing the thrower, a gutter runner, and at least one blitzer for the next match.
