I received and scored early during my first drive. On the Norse offense I got lucky when I BH'd their tackle blitzer (who was immediately APO'd). It made the rest of the half much easier and I kept them scoreless. Amazons lead 1-0 at the break.

In the second half the Norse received again and racked up a good amount of KO's, reducing me to 5 players at one stage. They had a few nervous moments when they stalled for a turn too long and I managed to one-die POW the ball carrier. Unfortunately I couldn't capitalise and they equalised. Scores tied with one turn of regulation time to play.

I wasn't feeling especially optimistic about my prospects in overtime. I was down to seven players and no re-rolls against a full norse team with a re-roll to spare. We lined up to play the last turn of regulation time: I received a RR from the kick-off table and then BH'd 2 of the Norsemen on the LOS!

My run of good luck continued as I won the OT coin-toss and elected to recieve. I dropped a blitzer back to pick up the ball, made a few blocks on the LOS and then pushed three receivers deep. OenarLod ignored my receivers and pressed into my half of the field to pressure my ball carrying blitzer - it was going to be a long bomb to win or to lose... ”
