Yet again we find ourselves matched against the Nordic landwalkers. It should not be a surprise, as they are by nature a seafaring people, and come into close contact with the ocean, more than many other races... This makes them prime victims for DROWNING!
A very controlled effort from the Sunken Horrors was matched against a wilder, more frenzied and risky style of play from Zanne d'Argento. In this case, control was in the tendrils of the Sunken Horrors, who received in the first drive to run in an elegant and controlled SCORE from the side. It helped that the hittings were good, and many of the Norse found themselves stunned or KOd, making a status quo that was healthy for drowning.
It was too hard to stall till the end of the half, but fortunately, the second drive failed to see a Norse touchdown, which had to wait until the second half, when they did SCORE, even though it was a close whether they would actually run it in. The Sunken Horrors then decided the match with another SCORE, for which they had all the time.
Scoring was relatively easy for the Sunken Horrors throughout the match because of a hitting game which favoured the Horrors, as well as the risky playstyle by the Norse which did not pay up as much as they'd like to, with Foul Appearance, Wild Animal and even a lack of RR constantly marring the success of the Nordic gameplan.
We welcome Zachary Blueshield, who was DROWNED late in the game, and, the monstrous Horror from the depths, Krel'Ken.”
