Once again the Sunken Horrors walk the cold, arctic coasts to bring deep water to the lungs of the Nordic men. By now the Horrors are well aware of the tactics and style of the Norse team, and it is this confidence that was well noticable in their controlled playstyle: receiving the ball at the start of the match, the Horrors proceeded to grind in a SCORE with Griff as the ball carrier, with a small feint to one side first, but a safe run and short stall on the other side. The Norse recovered enough so that there was still enough time for a counterscore for the Norse, but that proved too difficult.
In the second half - no doubt the more interesting half - the Norse try their hand at a slow, but more mobile grind, thanks to the team's three agile players. However, the defence of the Horror proves quite solid, and therefore the pitch descends into a bit of a chaos as the Horrors try to reach the ball, and the Norse try to stay away from the Horrors and break through in a spot where the Horrors are slow. As it turns out though, they do break through - but not out of reach. And while the ball bounces out of everyone's hands, sometimes after knockdowns, it is finally picked up by Griff who lobs it away in a perfect long-distance pass to the newly drowned Max Zorin, who runs in the second SCORE.
Good match, and a very enjoyable second half. Lodi is now sleeping in the deep.”
