“With 2 Journeymen and no skill-ups for this game it was always going to be a tough ask for Sons of the Futhark. They put up a good fight, including crowd surfing a Ghoul in each half. Eventually though, weight of numbers took it's toll on the Norse.
Things could have been different when the Sons pierced the Undead defensive line and slipped the ball carrier into my backfield. However I was able to mark him up with a Zombie and then dodge a Ghoul back through to take him down (and Cas him) with a 2d Block. From there I was able to run the ball back down the field for a 1-0 half-time lead.
I failed 4 from 4 KO rolls, but it was still 8 players a piece and I was receiving. The Norse managed to take the ball carrier down just near the end zone, but the Undead quickly recovered the ball to score the following turn. That just left the Norse with 3 turns to try and get a score, but it was not to be.
