Pimlico Profano took the field after a tough match against their quarter-final underworld opponents, who had killed off Lupus and Moreton. A blitzer short, but with Marsham and Denbigh both proving their worth, the match was theirs for the taking.
Clover Ogre Dover received, and started a drive that quickly saw the elves succumb to ogre hits. Profano hit back, and the snotlings started to feel the bite, but not before Trimmm Trabbb could sneak over the line. The elves fought back, but delayed at the touch line to buy Profano more time proved risky, and the half-time score was stolen from Marsham.
Profano were not to be deterred. With the casualty count starting to climb, the elves shot back. Turnton was proving his worth, slotting the ball to his runners and sneaking the boot in too. Tachbrook similarly found it more comfortable to kick the ogres when down than bother to get them there. And Marsham stretched his legs to cross the line. Then, disaster: a strong hit and he was floored.
Despite a valiant effort, the score remained 1-1 at full time. The snotlings were feeling the bite of elven boots and fists, now, and both teams looked a little ragged. Profano won the toss, received, and Turnton passed to Denbigh, who rushed to score. The ogres had given the elves a run for their money.
Thanks for the game!”
