Ex con won the coin and elected to kick which annoyed me quite a bit since I alwys feel a little clueless on how to setup my offensive drives before i've played a couple of turns. And sure enough, I soon setup a cage that was a little on the weak side, espescially to the convicts leaping ag 5 guy. And when the krox failed his bonehead the cage weakened further pressuring me itno making a bad foul on the afformentioned leaper. I failed to break armor and my dp got sent of and on the convicts turn they broke my cage and stole the ball. I could not pressure them much, and they scored relatively easily in their fifth turn.
I managed to equalize on my 8th turn and the convicts used their 8th turn to foulkill my krox, which the apotechary failed spectacularily to do anything about.
On to the next half. And a long and wellplayed drive from ex-con that resulted in a couple more of my players being hurt and sent of. Once I was down to 8 guys excon felt secure to score. And again I had a couple of turns to equalize. Thanks to some leaping and passing I managed to setup a fairly nice attack on the top side and i could score on my 7th turn, the last turn o regular time didnt amoutno much and it was all up to hoping for the cointoss, and I won it!
Un fortunatly Excon cashed in on a blitz at exactly the wrong time putting me ina very difficult spot, I had good dice however and managed to put up a somewhat protected possition on my side of the field. the convicts commited heavily to sacking the ball again.. and even though they did manage to do it it was still reasonably well within my reach and I managed to conjure up a plan to put one of my blitzers deep downfield and throw some hail maries to him.
Things didnt quitre work out that way though and a double 1 on a catcher dodge finally foiled my plan.
I had one last shot at the ball the turn afterwards but this time it was my blitzer who wasnt up for dodging, and excon could seal the deal.
Thanks for an exciting and wellplayed game. We'll be back next year!”
