“What a brutal game for us! The Dwarfs received and for the first few turns we worried their ball carrier. But they got their blocking together and by turn 5 started taking Blitzers and our induced star blitzer out. Normally I never use apo on miss next game but as it was the cup I decided to be positive and do so on a blitzer. It failed and I certainly regretted it later. They scored in turn 8 but Skeetz then took a one turn score. Second half we were unsure what to do without blitzers for support against 11 dwarfs so Skeetz one turned again. From then on we were totally brutalised with some evil block and injury rolls, plus the rats fell over themselves. 2nd half turn 2 Skeetz, one of the greatest Skaven scorers of all time was killed in a block! How I missed the apo. A cruel blow and especially as he was so close to making it to legend. Crucial hit that came about when Zloos failed 2 gfis (1rr'd) on the turn before to leave skeetz exposed. (If still had av7 he would not even have been stunned).
The Dwarfs took players off at will and for the last few turns we laid down in self preservation, though with our one chance to Blitz the carrier then Skratz failed his leap. The Dwarfs scored. In OT we received and then had some chance to score. However Skratz then failed his 2+ catch, another crucial roll, and so couldn't try to leap over to have a chance to win. So the Dwarfs took over proceedings again and dealed another two RIPs! They did drop initially but with Skratz ko'd the turn before we had no chance to stop them. Extraordinary rolling and Araushnar will be extremely pleased.

Our biggest game yet and turned out to be a disaster for the side in the end, despite going close. Other than the two successful one turn attempts the dice just didn't fall right for us. But we forced extra time and still had some fun, and have made some mark with two close games.”
