B Oulun Nurglet versus Band of the Phoenix R
Phoenix induce griff + an extra apoth. We win the cointoss, and get 2 extra blocks with quicksnap. The first half is a breeze, not much happens, we maim stuff, we foul stuff. The highlight of the half is griff's 2die on ball via 4+ dodge, he gets through the dodge & the foul app, but he fails the block rolling pushpushes. Next turn he is powd, stunned, and later surrounded. The ref sees nothing as Griff is helped out the pitch badly hurt a turn later. The ball secure on the endzone Oulun Nurglet try clear as much of the human team as they can.
We setup for the oneturner by setting up rotters & a 3man LOS. The crowd gives humans a riot though, which they use to try and form a cage midfield, however failing to pow the middle LOS rotter means they have to take a dodge to get through the line and snake out. End of first half.
Second half humans start 9vs11, nurgle rolls perfect defence, we exchange blows for a few extra KOs, but all in all the bashwar is in a standstill. Regardless, humans are unable to protect their ball & on our T3 we steal the ball from a relatively open cage. 2 turns later ball is with Antti Ylönen who later passes it to Nurgle Warrior Jari Viuhkola for the score. Meanwhile, the nurgle clawpombs have stopped producing KO/CAS and the humans outbash the remaining team, Vladimir Sicak is injured (-MA) in the process, removing a vital player from our lineup for the next game.
All in all was an easy game for us, with not much happening either half. The wizard was what we were afraid of, but griff is what we got. Griff underperformed going out permanently after only one potentially gameturning blitz.”
