The vamps outplayed me at almost every turn. They took heavy cas in the first half, with the ball in my hands after a touchback, and despite Hypno offering them 2 die on the ball couldnt shake it loose. When the numbers started to thin it was an easy walk in for 1-0. but only as their on ball dice had failed so unfairly.
common consent is I played badly at the statrt of the second half, dashing upfield and looking to take advantage of some out of position vamps. In doing so i neglected the backfield and the vamps were able (despite a missed hand off) to take the ball past me. a dodging BOB secured the ball but the cover rushing in snaked a GFI and the vamps recovered ball for 1-1.
Again the return drive saw me set too agressively far forward, and the vamps get into the backfield and trouble the ball, but then, how DO you stop vamps when they can hypno through any defense?
somehow we got the ball forward, with the vamps toof ar behind the play to catch up and went in for 2-1.
RC outplayed me and i freely confess i lucked him, once again.
It seems this happens every time we play. Which is a habit i am getting to like, but must be frustrating as hell for him.”
