“Dynamite game with upsets on both sides. Tight defence from the Reavers forced the Lords to stall out the second half, jockeying for position while keeping the ball deep down field. After a sudden turnaround where two Lords were KO'd in one turn, Lords were forced to score on T5 of the second half, bringing the score to 3-1.
Apothecary down, the Lords held back, essentially letting the Reavers score in 2 turns (well we did try to hit the ball carrier, but failed to capitalize). Receiving on our H2T7, the plan was to fall back and bury it in our endzone, running out the clock. A failed Sure Hands (!) pickup dropped the ball in the open, and the Reavers got a hold of it on their T7.
T8 The Lords blitzed the ball, knocked it loose, and hurled it down field, but not far enough. A long bomb in the Reavers' H2T8 converted to an easy TD (forced to throw over the AG 6 lineman, but he failed the Interception... grr....), bringing the game from 3-1 for the elves to a 3-3 tie in 4 short turns.”
