“13 woodies facing 8 high elves, and Bribe the Ref as the handicap. On paper this looked like a whitewash, but a tactical mistake by the Greens on their defensive drive - cramming everyone onto one side of the pitch trying to block the ballcarrier - allowed Punch Out to skip away to the opposite flank and eventually secure the first TD of the game. The Greens then managed to hold the high elves at bay to tie the score just before the half, with King Hippo crucially staying knocked out.

Greens receiving with 11 vs 7, quick snap and touchback, and the woodies decide to give the ball to the treeman, Pigeon, for his first ever TD. An extremely tense 8-turn grind followed. It was the first ever played by the Greens, and it showed as they kept on getting knocked out. Eventually Pigeon trudged his way to the line, and the Greens managed to push one high elf out of bounds and KO another to leave one last chance for the elves on a suicide blitz by a rookie against Pigeon. Two sets of skull+skull/pow followed, and the treeman tiptoed into the endzone to score the TD that put the Bhaggy Greens at the top of F1 for the second time. Only time will tell if they remain there at the end of the round..”
