“The armour and casualty dice were tough for the Guardians during this hardfought match. The first block of the game made me lose Willoz Rosebark and by the end of turn one I'd lost my tree as well after a non-dp foul. The ref was attent though and since the ball hadn't been picked up yet I managed to squeeze half my team through the undead line, leading to a defensive touchdown in turn 4. By then my wood elves had suffered 5 casualties already, by half-time that would increase to 7. I almost managed to stop the equalizer, but in the end the Dead Vally Daze pushed through and scored.

Only 5 players left for the second half though. Further attrition reduced numbers further down to three and I needed half a miracle to score. Which is exactly what happened. The Guardians managed to send a player deep in the opponent's half and lobbed the ball to him. The subsequent blitz resulted in a push only (reroll had been used already for random blocking) and the second touchdown was a fact.

I barely had a team left to defend, but somehow managed to pull the ball free twice! The Undead proved creative though and showed to have some balling skills as well. Suddenly zombies and a wight started throwing some long passes and when they start pulling off such tricks even the bravest pair of wardancers won't help. By turn 8 I had 2 players left to field.
