“Last weeks game was a chess match. This one was a wild scramble.
The bomber drive lacked discipline and Nick FitzGIbbon soon found himself alone surrounded by pestigors. Desperate hits cleared a path and he sprinted for the end zone only to trip and knock himself out on the goal line. In the mad scramble that followed Saskatchewan managed to score on the last turn of the half but not before the bombers managed to knock out 3 players including Gainer and BH a rotter none of who recovered in time for the 2nd half.
Down 4 players at the kickoff Saskatchewan recieved a short kick but were driven back by a determined Bomber defense that sent 4 more players off the pitch. In desperation, Sask threw deep to the empty Bomber half to prevent the defensive TD. The Bombers collected the ball and Nick FitzGibbon, recovered from his ignoble goal line KO redeems himself to tie the game at 1-1 on the very last play of the game..”
