Blam! Pow! Crunch!

What happened to my team?

I guess this makes trimming TV for the next season a much easier choice. :-/

Good luck to Azure in the rest of the playoffs. And by "good luck" I mean I hope that your Claw POMBer gets killed and your +agi Goblin gets perm'd as well! HAH!

#3 Brandon "Short Arm" Lloyd – Smashed Knee (NI)
NWFL Divisional Round Playoffs:
The Yams kicked off to start the game as a blizzard raged across the field. Ripgutz (the league leader in CAS) blitzed and piled on for KO to start with. In total, we were down 2 players before we got to move. However, our focus was Ripgutz and we managed a foul to KO him and then we worked on defense...we tried hard to stop the gutter runners...but ultimately there was nothing we could do as the rats just streaked past us as they have the previous 2 games for the 1-0 lead.

On the kickoff, Ripgutz returned to the field...but Chris Long (our enforcer) took him down hard - breaking his jaw...an injury even the apoth could not fix. Another injury followed and suddenly both of the Mutants MB players were gone and our two were hard at work. More and more Mutants were carried off the field as we pressed for the tie...however, our DT failed 3 times in a row and the gutter runners stole the ball. On turn 8 of the first half was a huge turning point. The gutter runner could have run into the corner of their own endzone and not given us any chance to score at all. However, instead they raced downfield, allowing a 3d blitz with our wrestle tackler and a pickup and toss with our thrower to Mardy Gilyard who caught the ball (used RR), and then made 2 gfis in the snow for the score...1-1 at the half!

In the second half, we tried to make a slow score - used our apoth on a KO and our fireball...but still, we could not prevent the gutter runners from knocking the ball free and we had score early to make it 2-1. The mutants were down to 7 players at this point and pushed hard for an equalizer - but failed a dodge and we pounced on the ball...we gave the Mutants one last chance because our pass on T7 failed...but our defense held out and we claimed the upset win!

With our troll lost the previous game, and our blitzer lost this game...going to tough for us to repeat in the conference finals...but we will make sure that whomever we play has to work for it!
