It was not clear which team would be chosen to enter the WO qualifiers and since the coach's other Humans won another Major qualifiers last year, they seemed to be the first choice. Despite that Urrghs has decided to give his oldest team another chance.
And yesterday it paid off.

The 69ers played pretty well. Especially the performence of the defense during the first half was quite impressive and the team managed to keep the 0-0 during the first drive.
After this they have scored pretty soon and the match became interesting finally.
The dark elves could score also and have been hoping to break the 69ers offense by the help of the wizard.
But due to a miscommunication between coach Jeguan and his hired Sorcerer (this means the sorcerer fell asleep and missed the point when he was needed) the plan did not work and the Humans went for the 2-1. After this the Dark Elves were under pressure in order to score before the end of the match. So it happened as it often happens when it is important; facing an attacker the thrower who had fallen behind was forced to make the pass, but failed the dodge to get free. Then only a pick up stood between the 69ers and their 3rd TD and also their first success in a Major qualifying tournament.

All in all the match was way tighter than the result seems to suggest and we are all looking forward to round to when Urrghs' team meets high powered High Elves.”
