#8 Henoc Muamba – Smashed Knee (NI)
Second game in a row that the Bombers have been blitzed on the opening kickoff.

The rattled backfield showed their inexperience failing the pick-ups under increasing pressure from the rushing Inuit. Fortunately, Edmonton punched in the TD rather than stall and risk a turnover to the back checking Bomber line. Dumpsville 1-0.

At the kickoff, Winnipeg's quick snap surprised Edmonton. This time there were no backfield errors and Milt Stegal carried the ball up the left side of the field. Steve Morely and Milt combined to punch the ball in to end the half for the 1-1 tie.

Winnipeg kicked deep to start the second half. Edmonton was forced to elf ball up the side lines for the score before the Winnipeg defense slammed the door. Both Sven and Olaf Strongarm were smashed out of play by Chris Walby and Steve Morely. Dumpsville 2-1.

Under pressure from the ticking clock the Bombers attempt to punch up the right side of the field but the Inuit D manage to stop the drive in its tracks just out of scoring range and hang on till the final whistle.

Edmonton's speed and skill prevail over Winnipeg's raw power. The Bombers eagerly look forward to the rematch.

#2 Olaf Strongarm – Serious Concussion (-AV)
#14 Sven – Gouged Eye (MNG)
Just a fantastic game to play in.

Great plays and mistakes on both sides, lots of blood, lots of turnovers.

Overall great game and I look forward to the next matchup!
