“Episode 2 - Quixotic League vs. Wyvern
The League's second mission and they had their first run-in with a 'renegade' justice team - a group of Wyvern agents. The Wyvern agents were very cautious in the first half, but the League was able to corale them into one quadrant of the field and then the ball finally popped loose (though it was a both down with no rerolls left). The League did manage to get the ball, but their hopes for a 1st half defensive score were dashed by a failed gfi. Second half we received and were outnumbered 11-to-10. But they quickly evened the odds with a KO. The first attempt to pick up the ball failed but it was well covered and all the Wyvern agents could do was try to counter-surround. After a lot of shoving and a few falls, we finally secured the ball. It took a bit of maneuvering and patience, but we eventually found a hole in their defenses (thanks to a 2nd KO) and were able to get the ball into a semi-cage at the goal line. Then we spent a few turns hitting those 'renegade' vigilantes! A T8 score was followed by a High Kick that the Wyvern agents caught but the ensuing pass was dropped and the game ended.
While not evil, the forces of Wyvern are often misguided in their attempts to bring criminals to justice and today was such a day. They tried to foil the Quixotic League's plans but were themselves foiled. Maybe they have learned a valuable lesson - the Quixotic League are the good guys, and Justice always prevails!

Epilogue - It will be nice to have Steele Magnolia, Subatomic and Black Horse (II) back with the team for their next mission. The team may have to look into purchasing an auto-doc (apo) soon for the base. Also, Prof Astropath levels up and learns how to Block! The better to dish out Justice to those who stand against the League and threaten Paragon City. Perfected Weapon also gains valuable experience and joins Simon-Says in being very close to a new level.”
