As the Damned took to the field, the sky darkened and the vampires materialized from the mist. On the other side the Charioteers dismounted and prepared for battle. The crowds drew near the pitch hoping some one would be fool enough to be knocked into their midsts.
Taking the ball, the Charioteers pushed down the Southern side of the field dogged and pursued by the Damned. All the while Dora showed her nasty streak by booting anyone that fell nearby. She managed to sideline the Charioteer's best tackler before the referee noticed and sent the thrall to the showers for an early end to her game.
With blood in the air, the charioteers made a push to the endzone. A thrall cried in pain as bones cracked and she was carted off the field to the meat locker with a broken ankle. With her diminished setength, she was now no longer worth moe than a tasty treat for after the game.
Up by a score, the Damned pulled off a fine version of the rope a dope. The vampire went south, while the thrall Alesandra had containment duties on the North flank. When all concentration went to the vampire, she took the ball and ran as hard as she could for the endzone scoring before the half.
The second half saw a similar battle with the charioteer claiming another head. The rookie Mael found his head on a spike but Akasha score so it was well worth the trade.
At this point Kondor had hopes of pulling off the win. The crowd was clearly cheering for the under dogs, chanting "Drop, that, BALL!" But the skill of the Charioteer pervailed as the scored with time expiring.
Kondor crossed the pitch and congratulated Arktoris on a well coached match. "Next tim" he thought. "Next time!" ”
