Still stinging from their defeat at the hands of some Thorn mages, the Quixotes got a call on their secret Super Base communication equipment. One of the League contacts had discovered an underground 5th Column base and those 5ascists were up to no good! Gathering the team and setting off to foil their plot, Captain Kinetix lead the way into what turned out to be a horrible ambush. Simon-Says had multiple shots to take down the carrier of the 5th Column weapon plans, but she managed to do more than push him around on 3 seperate tries (all 2 die blitzes). The plan carrier escaped, and then the ambush started. Wave after wave of Ubermensch and War Wolves descended upon the Quixotes and it was all Captain K could do to escape unharmed. Everyone else was sent back to the base to regroup, including a double KO in T7 2nd half between Der Richtor and Arnold Boltenhammer (Arnold initiated the attack but Thick Skull didn't save him). Captain Kinetix was left lying on the floor of the base as Dius sealed the 5th Column victory over the forces of Justice.
The victory was not without cost, though, as Prof. Astropath took down a particulary nasty (and speedy) War Wolf named Albrecht Mooncursed. At least 1 villain will be spending some time in the Ziggurat to think about his misdeeds. And he'll have a Smashed Collar Bone to remind him of his encounter with the Quixotic League.
Tilting for Justice!
Good game, KG. It was fun to play against a fellow CoH enthusiast. You are the first one to recognize the team theme, it made the loss more enjoyable.
Epilogue:
Black Horse (II) upgrades his Broadsword of Mercy (Mighty Blow). Evil-doers beware.”
