#1 Alfred Nobel III – Smashed Hand (MNG)
A truly great long game that ended with a 49th hit from the elves that killed Tamiel, apo used, killed again, regen failed. Ouch. All to stop an eventual ottd. Nice to see that spirit and not sending 3 rookie-thralls to the line. But he sure had to pay the price.

I did some mistakes, so did Tara, and the game wasnt decided until turn 15 or so when it looked dark for me. Thrower got mvp, and skill, for loosing the game for me with a pickup, so I gave him sure hands so it wont happen again ;-D

Finally got to meet the famous vamp-coach and his 3 rrs. A true master in using them wisely, but had a good game with the bloodlust as well imo. Already looking forward to next game vs them. It was a great match-up!

#2 Tâmîêl – Dead (RIP)
A match worth a report! It would have been so even without the nice game, simply because a player like Tâmîêl deserves some goodbye words.

But let's look closer at the match:

Vampires where quite happy: they managed to find a match against an agility team, such a rare gem in gamefinder, even a top high elf one, nasty but short in numbers.

My Private Army had not such problem like being outstrenghtened by the bloodsuckers, due to a pair of guard and some +ST player wich made the vampires feel often quite small and powerless, combined with a great ballstealer and a golden blitzer able to recover the ball from anywhere (but not to catch or pass it, as we've seen). Anyway, the vamps managed to trouble them enough to make their fans proud, even if they didnt stop opponent attack, and went close to draw before half time.
During second half, suffering through our own attacking drive we succeeded in scoring without great risks, gaining the needed position while the elves where busy with the crowdsurf of one of our players. Then, the unexpected came: the Army's thrower proved to be untrustworthy without a RR in hand, and left the ball in an almost easy position to recover it: vamps did it, forgetting about bloodlust for the last three turns of the match, knowing it was there that the result would have been played.
This extreme effort made them keep the ball and score quite easily, while at the last moment of the match, the exhausted Tâmîêl, mistrusting the thralls for the last turn defence, too easy to be joked and pushed around by cunning elves, was hit hard by Fidel Castro. Hard to survive marxism for a creature made of magic and legend! The apothecary proved useless, while running so much without any blood supply from thralls weakened his own regeneration. Gone for the glory of the team!
