#5 Firmshaft – Smashed Ankle (-MA)
Kondor thanked coach Kalminael for a fun and hard fought match.

This one had the makings of a match that could have gone either way.

The first half saw the Boys move slowly and methodically down the field leaving as many mangled elves as they could along the way. Daft's last second GFI was the difference maker and the Boys went into the half with a lead over the Mammoths.

Unfortunately, the Bloodweiser Babes can be pretty persuasive. Each available elf tightened their jocks and rushed back onto the pitch.

Elbryan was the top elf of the match catching a quick pass and fleeing for his life down the Northern sideline. The slow footed dwarfs gave chase. Elbryan determined that discretion was the better part of valor and decided against a stall tactic. Dancing into the endzone, he knotted the score at one a piece.

Kondor looked at the clock and bit his nails. It had taken an entire half to get their first score. This one was going to be difficult.

Again, Daft took the kick off and worked his way around the elven defenders. The other dwarfs did an admirable job of getting in the way of the fleet footed pale ones. Again, bones crunched, and several elves found their way to the bench. In desperation, the elves made a hard push to at least surround the dwarf ball carrier. A final blitz knocked one of his adversaries to the pitch and Daft got into the endzone for his second score of the match. This one put the score at 2-1 as time expired.

Thanks for the match Kalminael. I look forward to our next meeting.

Great first game against a nice coach!

The Mammoths could have won this one despite of the numerical superiority of the dwarves, but Nuffle decides otherwise!

Kondor report is great, he just forgot to mention a great action by Brave Sir Robin who manages to send a dwarf into the crowd where his ankle was smashed! The first injury caused by the Mammoths!

Thanks for the match Kondor!
