After an extremely painful divisional game, it was up to the practice squad players (and Anika) to take win the championship game. Down 650 TV, we had some inducements to help us out - although mostly just the babes were the key.
The first half we received and we managed to foul one of the clawpomber for a KO and moved forward with the catcher on the goal line after 2 turns. One of the bulls tripped due to our diving tackler and smashed his hand - gone for the game. With two important players out, we decided to go for the elfball stall, instead of scoring we retreated - knowing that the ball was vulnerable - but we should be able to recover. Indeed the ballcarrier was dropped, but the throw-in was not a disaster and we were able to recover and ran away from the slow footed blockers. We continued to get amazing dodging to continue to stall away the half - taking several risks along the way, but they all ended up working as we only gave up 13 blocks before scoring on our turn 8. The Bulltrots got the ball to start the second half, but they pushed it forward into Anika's leaping range (which is hard to avoid) - the ball was free and Anika grabbed it. The Bulltrots had 1 chance at the blitz, but it was double push and it was all over, Anika raced into the endzone, and up 2-0 with only 4 turns left (and we still had wizard) - there was not much for the Bulltrots to do, we bashed and fouled each other for the last few turns and then celebrated our second costly victory of the playoffs!”
