“WIL, 2nd last game of the season.
We're in 2nd last place and need to beat last place here today to move up a little. We receive first, facing down a wall of saurii with the help of Nobbla and Glart Smashrip.
They hold us at the half way line for 4 turns, throwing down fouls every turn with their journeyman skinks, finally getting some notice from the ref the very turn they manage to BH Glart Smashrip! The lizard coach has to be happy with that swap!!
Finally after swapping sides multiple times on T6 we can safely run into the corner of their half with the ball, while they busy themselves with some more gang fouls, getting a 2nd skink sent off. We counter with our first gobbo-foul... also getting sent off without result!
T7 and Nobbla hits a saurus for an MNG (apo can do nothing), but our one player tagging their kroxi near the ball carrier isn't enough as it blitzes space to put his tail on our dodge-thrower with the ball by their endzone.
Put off by the tail we go for a couple of hits, but manage to miss a normal gobbo dodge before trying for the 4+ dodge into the endzone. 0-0!
HALF TIME - and it's heat exhaustion time! Between that hitting 3 of our players and one of theirs, plus our 3 KOs (and their 2) sleeping on we are left with just 1 SV and 2 gobbos to kick with vs 3 saurus, their krox and a skink...
game over man.. game over!!!
Their sure-hands kroxi coolly runs over to grab the ball first time.. egads. We try for a dodge -2db blitz on T2.. but fail the dodge. From then on we never have a chance again as they quickly remove both gobbos by T5, and then see us fail a dodge for a KO and a clear pitch by T6.
But wait, what's this? They score on T7 due to a fear of bone head, giving us two turns for a counter attempt..
We rush a few players through and grab the ball at the back. But then hand everything over to them with our troll managing to skull himself on a 2d block, followed by perfect hits from them on all our receivers, including a saurus foul to stun the last one possibly within range. We go for a consolation hit with the troll... and he MNGs himself and even the apo + regen can't stop it.
