“The Warlords roared into town for their first Rookie League game accompanied by the skirl of bagpipes and the rabid cheers of their fans. Unfortunately things got off to a bad start; Coach Katana was busy eating some Highland oats and didn't give good instructions to his team. Instead they all piled onto the line of scrimmage looking for a fight, and proceeded to get thoroughly beaten up by the small but sturdy Chaos Dwarfs. One beastman was shamefully KO'd by a Hobgoblin and was so embarrased he did not return for the rest of the game!

Duringrad looked well on their way to scoring, but the Hobgoblin ball carrier got ahead of his cage and was promptly blitzed into the ground by Wallace! The ball bounced off the pitch, landed amongst the Chaos fans - who threw it to the opposite side of the field and into the Dwarf half! A chase and a scramble followed but the stumpy legs of the Chaos Dwarfs were ultimately no match for the speedy hooves of the beastmen. Gairloch raced away for a last turn touchdown!

Second half the Warlords were down on numbers but high on aggression. They piled into the Chaos Dwarves with abandon and a flat out brawl developed in the wide zone. Neither side could push the other more than a few metres in either direction. A few beastmen got crowd surfed out, but fortunately landed in the Chaos fans and were safe! Eventually, with time running out, Gairloch went for a break out, but was sacked by a raging Bull. Both sides scrambled for the ball but neither were able to get anywhere before time ran out.

The Warlords went home the victors at the end of a crazy game. Coach Katana is beginning to realise how much he misses block on his players!”
