“Northern Pygmies won the coin toss and chose to receive. They attacked Speed Skills from the start with the furious Troll Slayer, Twelfth Night, in the lead. Twelfth Night piled on a hapless Ratman leaving himself vulnerable. Raphael repeatedly kicked the downed Slayer keeping him stunned for most of the first half. Meanwhile, Karril blasted his way towards the Dwarf Runner, Timo Soini, carrying the ball. Timo dodged away and tried to hand the ball off to Joachim Gauck. Gauck dropped the ball and that was the beginning of the end. Maus would pick up the ball in a tackle zone and dodge away. Maus was off to the races where he handed the ball off to Master Tang for the touchdown to end the first half.

SS received in the second half and they sent receivers up the field. NP was hard pressed to cover all that speed. Splinter decided to wait an extra turn and run out a little more clock before he made his move with the ball. An opening presented itself but what should have been an easy hand off was dropped by Puck (snakes). The Dwarves countered with some heavy hitting and at the end of their turn, even recovered the ball. Fortunately, Karril made a great play and stretched his movement to the limits. He would bring down the Dwarven Blitzer causing a fumble. Puck redeemed himself with a gutsy ball recovery and extra two steps to score the touchdown effectively giving his team the victory.
