#4 Scaby – Damaged Back (NI) #12 Captn Morgrim – Fractured Leg (MNG)
“For the second game in a row, there was a chaos dwarf parade in town. This time it was the Pamplona Parade. Just looking at this team made Kondor nervous. They sported two claws, but one of those belonged to the fuzzy minotaur known as Nandi. That cuddly fella also was a jugernaut that knew how to pile it on.
With 3 cas, he did not disappoint.
Normally in a draw, I walk away thinking that if I had done something different, I would have one this one. Sometimes, I think boy I was lucky to pull off a draw. While I do feel I was lucky to get the draw, I also think Big-Al was a bit lucky that I did not get the win. Indeed, this was one where the dice never really favored anyone, but they also did not stick it to either of us.
The first half saw Pamplona surround the ball carrier and do a good job of harrassment. I was a little disappointed that his DP hobogobo was not whistled after 3 early fouls that turned out to be particularly painful. Still, I was able to find a hole for my blitzer, who dodged away at the last momnent and was able to find a score at the end of the half.
The second half was really much of the same. Only this time I was the harasser. I thought I had him in the backfield several times. He was set up where bad dice would leave me an opportunity, and aweful dice would be catostrophic for him. Sadly for me, he was able to make a couple of semi-risky plays. (Nothing over the top) That allowed him to get a hobo free for a late score. I honestly do not think there was much more either of us could have done. A couple of bad dice would have tipped the scale one way or the other.
Thanks for the match Big-Al. I look forward to playing again.”
