“After a run of red hot form, Thug Life’s luck finally ran out against the Tobaro Inquisitors! Perhaps it was too many late night parties, perhaps it was too many medicinal herbs, perhaps it was over confidence.... or maybe Nuffle took this opportunity to frown on the Thugs!

The Inquisitors received the kick and went wide with the ball carrier. The Thugs seemed off the pace and hesitant at first; perhaps the usually fearless Black Orcs were intimidated by the presence of Mighty Zug on the line of scrimmage! The humans certainly had the better of the early blocking, but the Thugs blitzers were able to find holes to break through to harass the ball carrier. Unfortunately, in two consecutive turns the Thugs failed 2+ Go for It (with a re-roll) to get a blitz on the ball carrier, and then in the third turn failed a 3+ dodge with re-roll to get a blitz on the ball carrier! The Thug fans groaned in dismay as the humans ran in a mid-half touchdown.

The chaos continued for the Thugs for the remainder of the half. The usually reliable Method Man dropped the ball on a pick up (too many medicinal herbs...) and the Thugs blocking ended up with Tupac running straight onto a human blitzer's boot!

Saikyo gave his players a ferocious team talk at half time and they came out looking to make amends for a disastrous first half. The Orcs received, Method Man grabbed the ball and the pocket set off down the left wide zone. Hard fighting followed every step of the way. The Inquisitors smelt victory and their blocking was relentless and effective. Progress was slow for the Thugs, the pocket was in danger of being broken up, and the humans had tackle zones on the ball carrier. Just when it seemed that a turnover was inevitable, Snoop Dogg jumped to his feet, blitzed down a human so hard that the poor man was carried off to hospital, and thus opened a gap for Method Man to dodge into and run in a late touchdown.

With no time on the clock for a further score both sides exchanged punches on the line of scrimmage. On virtually the final block of the game, the Thug’s Troll, Busta Rhymes, took an almighty punch in the face from the Human’s Ogre. This shattered Busta’s nose so badly that he was forced off the pitch to wait until he grew a new one!

Overall, this was a tense game with plenty of action and some skilful play. Thanks Kthulhu25!
