“Claw Chaos Dwarfs is the main team that makes the Ogres nervous. And as last time we faced this sort we faced nuffle too. They got a touchback and scored in turn 5 easily as our Ogres were shifted around, but at least we pressured them not to spend the whole half. However the return wasn't successful as a flimsy snotling cage was dismantled in a key turn 7. Giant Haystacks had to be rescued from a major clawed injury by the apo and the Bulldog was badly hurt.
Second half our hopes took a further hit when the Cwarfs reorganised quickly as they kicked. Bill Regal took the ball though the following turn the Ogres could only produce a push and 3 boneheads as they stood around dumb. Nevertheless Bill shrugged off some centaurs as he advanced to his fellows in the middle. 3 times his break tackle got him away and the Cwarfs hadn't left enough players back to get a proper shot at him so he managed to score!!! Go Ogres.
Alas our defence was poor with more bad rolls and 3 brave snots badly hurt or ko'd at the kickoff. But Bobs almost threw it away with a handoff to a Centaur with little time left. It failed. We needed a decent turn to make it tough but could only get pushes and a both down with a non block ogre. Bah humbug. Kill the Killers then made all their pickup, catch and gfi rolls needed to get the win. so it was a nuffling that we only just lost in the end, but at least no lasting claw injuries.”
