“Torrential rain made things difficult for the Sinners. Their first drive stalled against the tough defense of the Maroons, as Ironskull Hackwood ran out of room on the right side and eventually got shoved out of bounds trying to thread the needle.

The long throw-in was recovered by Zurgasson, who was relatively isolated on the left side of the formation, and took it in for the score as the half ended.

At the beginning of the second half, another costly error turned the ball over and Zurgasson got his second score of the game.

With little time remaining, the Sinners tried to get on the board, resorting to the pass game despite the rain, but it was not to be, and the Maroons won the match 2-0.
