Fight Gone Bad won the coin toss and chose to receive. They wanted to take the initiative and ground and pound the Bash Town players before they could gain any confidence. Bash Town had other ideas as their Rookie Ulfwerener, Isleif Ottaranson, came up big in the first half. The reigning number one Norse Star Player, Grant, was made ineffective and couldn't make an impact, while his brother Drade, was badly hurt by Isleif. BT's counter attack diminished the FGB forces but their dodging skills left much to be desired as they almost did as much damage to themselves as their opponents did. Nevertheless, the fight went bad and both teams were held scoreless as the half ended.
BT received in the second half and they had a one player advantage. After their opening blocks it was seven against nine and a loss looked inevitable for FGB as Grant failed to regain consciousness. A brawl broke out at midfield with both teams trading blows. BT ballcarrier, Brand Arveson, was caught up watching the fight and didn't start moving up the field until late in the second half. Brand began to run up the left side of the field with a couple players with him. FGB cut them off at the top and Brand had to reverse the ball back to the right.
Three players were eligible to score and FGB managed to take two of them out. Swarfsoldur Brandson was playing dead and he laid on the ground until the time was right. FGB took precaution against such a thing but Swarfsoldur made a huge play and dodged through anyway and got open in the end zone. Brand ran up and threw a short pass that hit Swarfsoldur right on the jersey but the Berserker's hands were meant more for punching and not catching. The ball was dropped and FGB get one more chance in overtime.
BT won the coin toss and chose to receive in overtime. It was eight versus nine with BT still holding the advantage. However, Grant, made it back into the game giving them a realistic chance to get a stop. Of course a brawl broke out at midfield as it's not a Norse party until someone gets punched in the mouth. FGB battled harder and it paied off when they won the battle at the line of scrimmage.
Brand was the ballcarrier once again but this time he started his drive up the field midway through on the fourth turn. Surrel, Lance and Destro pursued him with Bert trailing. Bert outran everyone and caught up to Brand taking down the Lineman with a shoulder tackle. Bert was blindsided by another player and he fell stunned on the ball. Brand got up, shook the cobwebs off, and limped towards the end zone. His leg gave out on him and he stumbled to his knees instead.
Destro picked up the ball but he was hit by Sigmur and brought down causing another fumble. In turn, Lance would lay out Sigmur setting the table for some FGB heroics. While all that happened, there was a three versus three fight still ongoing at midfield. Konan would free up Anton and the Lineman slanted up the field to get in scoring range. Destro got up, snatched the ball, tiptoed along the sidelines and threw a long pass to the streaking Anton. Anton caught the ball and the crowd was in shock, but he wasn't out of the woods yet. Swarfsboldur Brandson jumped up and gave chase to the Lineman. The Berserker launched himself onto Anton but the Lineman landed a stiff arm to the face of Swarfsboldur fending off the tackle attempt. Konan would come in to free Anton and the Lineman would run into the end zone for the game winning touchdown exactly on the eight turn of overtime!! FGB survived lackluster play by Grant and move on to the next round of the XFL. Hopefully he's saving his best for the next few rounds.

Great game, Hollaender!! Thanks for the match, mate!! That was a close one, could have went either way. Rematch sometime in the future if you want.
