“well the start to the new league was a tough game.Sigmars Valkyries received the kick off and started the match.in only their 2nd turn they got their first kill of the game,but the norsemen did enough to keep them in their own backfield(helped by a few unlucky rolls on the Valkyries part).when raina failed a dodge the ball ended up in the valkyries endzone and the besekers managed to run in for the TD.with the Valkyries receiving yet again the beserkers set up to stop them,yet a bad block by the snow troll freyan put him out for the match.and then on the very next turn the Valkyries get another casualty on the norse!!
with the beserkers receiving to start the 2nd half the valkyries went on the defensive,putting krill out of the game and a stat decrease to boot.lormi headed for the endzone with the valkyries in pusuit.blitzed just short of the endzone the valkyries gain the ball.a lucky blitz in the next turn allows lormi to regain the ball and run it in for the TD.only 7 players on each team lined up for the next play.turn 4 of the half saw the 2nd death of the game-and again it was valkyries inflicting the pain.this death allowed a gap to be opened which allowed saorise to run in for the score.next drive saw a riot resulting in the clock being turned back and only 5 beserkers on the pitch.a failed long pass from the beserkers and a failed GFI from the valkyries allowed lormi to run in for the final TD of the game.a very enjoyable game and a truely great opponent,the one thing i learned was always always buy an apothercary!!
