“Mavis "New Stink" Butcher made her début to bring the girls contingent of blitzers back up to full strength.
It started well. A very deep kick to the Elves resulted in a swift running play that went awry. The D Elves dropped the ball and the Girls were able to get their nails in and form up something of a cage - also managing to knock two Elves out in a violent ruck. But the Elves didn't give up easily and attacked the cage fiercely, twice getting close to ball carrier Devereaux. However, she managed to run it in for the score.
A short return drive capped off the first half but there was not enough time for the Elves to equalise.
In the second half, the Elves kicked to the girls who were able to cage up and maul their way through the Dark Elf line. Rue managed her first casualty but the D Elf apothecary patched the player back up. The Girls secured a well worked second score.
The next drive resulted in another score for the Girls as Devereaux ran home a touchdown with a delightful blitz-and-score action, netting her a +1 strength skill up too!
