“With plenty of claws on display, one thing was always certain; the field would be soaked in blood after this match! Luckily it was only my KO box that was full at the end of a first half beating.

On my drive, having brought down the legendary bull Mr Red with my dangerous wolf Buddhist Palm, we gang fouled him twice, all failing to inflict more than a stun. I could have stalled for a draw at this point, but that would have been boring. It would have made for a tepid end to a fun match!

As the teams lined up for the final play, I said that Mr Red was the difference between me feeling confident about turning it over - and so it proved. In the end, it was a close game that came down to an unskilled hobgoblin throw and Mr Red catching it. That was the difference between a win for Malmir and a draw or my shot at winning it.
