“A valiant battle against skilled foes. The Norse struggled in first half heat, but the Gods smiled on their valour. Down to seven players after a heatwave, the Heroes were able to power through under a shield of Odin's blessing to make it 1 - 1.
Second half the Gods turned their attentions to the Dark Elves and smote them with curses. The usually nimble Elves stumbled and fell, while their tackles bounced off the stout Heroes. Fired by the fury of Thor, Knuckles and Kull became Gods of War. Knuckles struck left and right, leaving a thrower and a blitzer unconcious, before he used his immense strength to crush a journeyman elf like paper, leaving the lineman crippled. Kull maimed another lineman and KO'd two further elves.
But the Elves proved defiant in the face of such violence. At 2 - 2, the Heroes were lured downfield, allowing the Elves to switch the play. Irritated by the greed of the Heroes, the Gods withdrew their blessings, and while attempting to set up a blitz, Smash threw snake eyes and hit the dirt.
In the aftermath of the match no less than three heroes received the blessings of the Gods. Despite defeat, it was a fine game!”
