The wood elves break through my defense from one side right off the start with a catcher holding the ball. All my killing attempts fail as I didn't get a catcher crowded and didn't get the wardancer down with my blitzer. At least I get a good pressure on the catcher and force him to score on turn 2. I knock two linos out and cas one on my 2nd turn. Yeah, this is where things start to get messy. The woodies keep on flying off the field way too easily and before my turn 4 there's only 5 of em on the field. One of the biggest blows being my blitzer seriously injuring the wardancer on turn 3. I get ridiculous luck on casualties and KOs and with only 3 woodies left on the field by turn 5 I stall the rest of the half with ease while the woodies take a rest laying on the ground.
Second half starts and the woodies get 1 KO back. With just 4 elves or something for the entire half it's easy for me to score with an ulfwerener. And I manage to do it twice too. Nothing much more to say about 2nd half, except the one time where the elves had a chance to score their catcher rolled like a double one on GFI or something and got knocked down. Yeah. It was that bad :P.
These are the sort of games that kinda don't make you happy for winning, even though you like the fact that your team performs well on the bash from time to time. Almost every block I made was a casualty or KO for the elves and there was no skill whatsoever involved. Coach riccardrob kept a good spirit throughout the game despite the dicing, a true sport. Hope to see ya for a more balanced rematch!”
