Five hours later, the team began to complete their final preparations. Every Marauder wore great spiked boots capable of stomping the life out of a black Orc, and the great ogre Oregnor had paid visits to every referee in the town, and together with the Minotaur and Skaven had convinced the ref’s of the ‘penalties’ that would come with overly sharp eyes at the footsteps of chaos. Satisfied that the team was ready, and with a last minute yelling and punching of an overeager fouler, Rohnaji led the way into the blazing stadium.
The Footsteps received and the game began well, with a foul and a block removing two of the three most dangerous enemies from the pitch. The Footsteps stomped across the pitch, riding their luck, the High Elves bad luck, their fouls and their bribes all the way to a 1-0 lead at halftime.
Rohnaji was pleased with his team’s performance so far, but better was to come. Directly after half time, one of the High Elf throwers made a mare drop. Rohnaji’s chuckle of glee became a gasp of amazement of Oregnor grabbed the goblin Geraler and tossed him deep into the enemies half. Geraler made a perfect landing, seized the ball from two high elves with his gigantic hand, and put the last effort into a lunge for the end zone, taking the chaos pact up 2-0. The High Elves desperation became evident, but it had no effect on their skill, with a easy touchdown bringing the scores closer. The High Elves then made a push for Rohnaji, but his strength and skill was too much, and the Chaos pact left the stadium 2-1 victorious.
Thanks for a great game Arta and the Lords of Brisbane. Good luck recovering, and thanks for keeping the HotF seat warm for Dark Elf Rohnaji Ballrunner.
