“So I'm facing a chaos team with no tackle, that's always fun with amazons :)
The chaos choose to receive first and they get the ball loosely caged relatively easily. I try to lock a lot of their players into place so that they couldn't get a stronger one formed. I try to put a lot of pressure on the ball carrier, and force em to make a breakable cage. I blitz the BC down on my turn 3, but the ball bounces away from my players. They re-cage on turn 4 and seriously injure one of my blitzers. I get the BC down again on turn 5, but the ball bounces in the hands of a chaos warrior, arr! I'm gonna have to work to get the ball off that guy. One of their beasts kills himself on a 1d block against my blitzer on their turn 6, yeaah! :D On my turn 6 I get the CW down by making a chainpush move for it. I also get the ball but they manage to blitz me down on the next turn and cause a serious injury on the BC. They send one beastman deep in my half for a last chance to score, but I get him down and it's now only possible for me to score this half: I still have a player in range for turn 8. However, they pass it and run away, so second half starts 0-0.
I got 2 cas on the first half, so there's 9 chaos to 10 amazon on the field for 2nd half. The kick gives perfect defense to the chaos. They try to get pressure on the ball and re-setup their players on one side of the field. However, the ball bounces the wrong way and we get a touchback and easily stroll through the side where there are no more chaos players. We stall a turn and score on turn 3 after we get one more badly hurt, this time a CW. With only 7 chaos left, I'm thinking I might score again. The kickoff after is a rock, and the chaos fans seriously injure my thrower. Their ag4 sure hands beast fumbles the ball on pickup and I get some zons around the ball. They get the ball movin the next turn, but they don't get far and I get the ball carrier down and a hold of the ball. They fail a dodge and I run off. I stall till turn 8 and make it 2-0.
This was a classic example of amazons being strong at low TV. As we didn't fail many rolls, the chaos had a hard time advancing with the ball with a lot of blodge around. We also landed a few injuries on the chaos which were important.”
