“Upon entering the field I see a chaos dwarf team with a little more piling on than I'm comfortable with when playing rats :)

I choose to receive and try to kick the ball deep, but changing weather + bounce throws it into the crowd and the CD get touchback straight away. On my first turn I run a few gutters up there to put pressure on the ball carrying bull. It works, as the bull rolls triple arrows and doesn't get the guarding gutter off him and we get to blitz the bull down on our turn 2. One gutter runs next to the endzone and the big handed one passes the ball to him. We would've liked to stall a bit in this favourable position, but couldn't so I score on turn 3. The next drive starts pretty much the same: I get the DT gutter to pressure the ball carrier. This time they make a chainpush move to free the bull. They seriously injure two gutters and kill one on turn sevenish and I'm starting to feel this game might not go that well :) A hobgoblin dies as well and next turn it's one of my storm vermin who bites the dust. Man, this is one deadly match. They score on their turn 8. I don't have enough players for an OT
on my turn 8 but seriously injure a hobgoblin instead.

2nd half starts and I have only 6 rats on the field. Looks bad. Sure enough, I try to get the last remaining gutter into scoring range, but fail a dodge to get proper protection for him. They easily blitz him down. I manage to pick the ball up with a linerat on my next turn and they get him down and the ball bounces into the hands of a hobgob. Had the ball fallen to the ground I might've been able to get it with my big hand gutter, but that kinda made it game at this point. I do get a 1d blitz on him but only succeed in knocking myself down. I try to get the last gutter there to harass the BC even the slightest bit, but it's a long shot anyway and mostly I just pass my turns away. They don't foul the gutter on turn seven and I get him next to the ball carrier, a little glimpse of hope! Well, it was just a little glimpse, as they easily free the ball carrier and score on turn 8 to make it 2-1 for the CD.

A cool game where the MBs and POs were my doom as I predicted before the game. Losing three gutter runners in the first half was a blow we couldn't recover from and we just acted as punching bags for the entire 2nd half. Thanks BillBrasky for an entertaining game! Gotta be faster and avoid more blocks next time :)”
